Me too, though I love water. You have to pay to park a boat though.

Still, I'd like to see if one of these vehicles comes up for sale:

That looks pretty fun actually. Bet it would be a good time to drive that thing around.

TV free weekend!
Played all afternoon in the yard Saturday. Soccer and frisbee, and swinging, then all day too Sunday. I pulled the cars out of the garage and turned it into a roller rink with bubble blowing and indoor soccer.( it was a rain out).

That sounds like a really good weekend. Wish I could say that ours was anywhere as close to that active, but the kids did get to go swimming on Sunday.

Last soccer game on Saturday and then went to the beach for an hour with the youngest. Girls each got to spend some much needed 1 on 1 time with mommy. Had friends over after church yesterday for a pool day. Pretty fun day and glad to take advantage of the sunshine and warm weather. Turned cloudy and cool today.

This weekend, in theory (assuming the weather cooperates) we're going to a local winery for their big party. All day thing with food trucks, live music, and at night a big firework show. We went last year thinking the kids would be bored after a couple hours but they ended up begging us to stay the whole time so they could see the fireworks. They loved it. Lots of other kids to run around with. They had a big pile of hay they let the kids play in. And they were mesmerized by the fireworks.

The second week in July should be fun for us as we're going camping up in the Adirondacks. There's this place called the Wild Center that we're going to check out. Looks like it should be some fun for everyone. We're staying at a campsite not too far away and both boys are excited about the idea of sleeping in tents. So for the last few days we've received a steady stream of packages as we bought some things we'd need - a lot of the camping gear my wife and I had is from long before we were married and not in the best state anymore. There's a couple breweries up in the area that I'll get to visit as well. It should be a good time. It's really the first family trip we'll have taken that doesn't involve going somewhere to see family.

That sounds like a lot of fun, gduck. Your July sounds more fun than mine - and mine's not bad at all!

We're going to visit my mom down in VA Beach and plan on spending a day at Bush Gardens. Two weeks later we're taking a long weekend over my birthday to stay in a cabin by a lake down in Canaan Valley, WV.

It's still evolving but so far the plans seem to be that my wife and probably daughter are going to LI Saturday for a beach day with old friends of hers from High School along with some relatives. My 18 year old son wants to take his first road trip with friends to Cape Cod and stay at a friends family house there overnight. Needless to say I am nervous about that. Payback time! I will probably be alone Saturday so maybe some golf, a little work outside and then watch the fireworks show my neighbors put on once it turns dark.

My in-laws have friends from way back who always have a 4th of July party dating back to before my wife was born. Since the 4th falls in the middle of the week this year they're doing it Saturday. So we're heading to that, about 2.5 hours away, and spending the night.

My wife then has off through the 4th. Don't know what we're doing the rest of the time.
