Just finished reading "I Will Be Gone In The Dark" by Michelle McNamara. Its the story of one woman's quest to solve the 40-50 year old cold case of the Golden State Killer. Unfortunately, that woman died suddenly in her sleep so another woman finished the book for her and by the time the book went to print the case was still not solved. Full disclosure! After reading about 25 pages of the book I see that they have caught the man they believe to be the Golden State Killer and he is going to trial. So when I say I just finished the book, I meant I finished/stopped reading it. I might as well wait for the whole story to be written. What horrible timing and a tragedy for the original sleuth.

Bump! Update. Hope they find her.

Just finished "Indianapolis" by Lynn Vincent and Sara Vladic. There are many books written about the sinking of the Indianapolis but this book tells the story of the 50 year plus fight to get their Capt.Charles McVay's court martial he received reversed by his surviving sailors and others after the WWII. It was cover your ass time about then and the fix was in for him. The Navy top Brass needed a scapegoat. Unfortunately he committed suicide in 1968. This sinking is the story Capt. Quint referred to in the movie "Jaws" in the nighttime drinking scene.

Lies My Doctor Told Me., Ken Berry, MD.

Well now. Doctors have to go by what they are taught in med school by the establishment.
Renegades risk losing their liscence to practice. This guy says, " I got lawyers."
He questioned standard practices. Did his research found out "why things are done the way they are."
An expose if you will.
A little common sense too.

I highly encourage reading this book.
Warning: you might be looking for a new doctor or questioning the one you have.
Read the book.

Just finished "Killing the SS" by Bill O'Reilly and Martin Duggard. Just like the other "Killing" series book it was very well written and informative.
