Yeah, I'll definitely need one of those, but it would likely be a "once every 10 years" kind of project so I'll likely just rent one.

Meanwhile, I just bought a circular saw and a pocket hole jig. I'm going to follow this technique for the wainscoting:



The pocket hole jig will reduce the number of nails I have to drive in, even though I'm using primed pine for the stiles and rails. I'm looking around for a tutorial of how to rip saw a 45 degree miter with a circular saw so that my corner stiles interlock and appear to be the same width.
