Today, I am going to take my outdoor GPS and see the actual distance I walk. And then double it, since I also MB the same trip right after I walk.

I finally have sone free time so I'm heading to the sporting goods store to look at some exercise equipment again. Originally I was thinking one piece, but I may put together a decent gym since im going through the effort with the basement anyhow. I'll have to see what this is going to cost and figure out how much it's worth for now.

EL. Don't forget Craigslist as there are plenty of people who buy with good intentions then sell. Could find some nice gear. Have fun shopping. At least you have plenty of room.

Thanks Hock. I did sign up on there last week and took a little look. Once I nail down some brands it will help the search.

Just got back from my morning walk & MB ride. Found out the whole trip altogether is 4.40 miles. Do that daily and I should start seeing good results. Not to mention walking the dog around the block at times.

Pick up a good stroller and you'll be able to take the kids along with you soon. Last summer I made a habit of pulling my 2yo along the 1 mile loop at the park next to us in her wagon. This coming Spring she should be getting on a bike of some sort and I'll be chasing her.

I read a good article in one of those "how to be a super cool guy" magazine's at the dentist's last week.

It was showing all the injurys people get from the various exercise machines out there. It was funny to see them recommend old fashioned push-up, sit-up's, and running for the average guy! Where's the fun in that?

We were already looking at good double strollers and plan on getting a double trailer for my mountain bike so I can tow them along.

Most don't know how to properly use the exercise machines or try to play around when using them. They also don't stretch correctly to prevent pulled muscles.
