I read a bunch of articles about the benefits of a daily walk for 30 minutes at a purposeful pace. Like 2 miles in 30 to 40 minutes. Set my treadmill at 3.5 mph, 0 to 2 deg of incline. I feel good!

This guy is local, has a great reputation. Among other things, is a faculty member on the Autism Research Institute.

So I figured it out.
3 miles at 4 mph at 2% incline is 389 calories X 7 days a week=2723 calories burned. For a 180 pound man.
Don't change a thing on diet. Will lose a pond a week and level out at ideal weight.(150-160)
Eat smaller and better, lose quicker.
A pound is 3500 calories.

Finally bought some kettlebells -- been meaning to for awhile -- and did a really simple workout with them on Wednesday...simple, but taxing. My quads are STILL shredded. I forgot how much I loathe/love this feeling.

Gonna go at it again tomorrow AM.....Shhhhh, don't tell my legs.

It's just lactic acid buildup...apparently being on my feet all day at work isn't enough to flush it out of the system and decrease DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness)...the more active you are after working out, the less sore you'll be.

Another round done today...feelin' groovy.

Treadmill spat me off today, 3/4 of the way through my workout. I'm not getting back on until tomorrow. I think it was a message. My ankle was hurting and my right hip as well, before the workout.
