Preparing for the Ice-pocalypse! Boy are they hyping this thing. Called school early today. Hardware stores running out of ice melt. Supposed to be about a day and a half of freezing rain. We'll see.

Good luck and stay safe GBdad family. Ice storms are a lot worse than snow storms. Hopefully the lights wont go out.

It was almost 60 when I put the kids on the bus a little bit ago. By the time they get off the bus this afternoon itíll be around 40. Snow is in the forecast overnight. I knew I shouldnít have gotten used to the gorgeous weather yesterday.

Sunny and 72* currently. Decided last minute to blow some of the dust off the Mustang. Dropped the top and went for a cruise and some chores. In February? WTF?! So nice to get out even for a day. For some reason I forgot to drop the insurance on the car for the winter. Usually I don't get out until late March when all the salt is washed away on the roads. Been very rainy here lately. Might get one or more cruises in today before things turn ugly out again later today and tomorrow.

Almost 80 today, supposed to have one more nice day and then a cool down and then temps are supposed to jump up again. Have the windows open and have been trying to find things to do outside.

Two days ago it was almost 70, yesterday we got about 6 inches of snow... and then half of that melted hours after stopping. Today itís chilly, but looks like weíll be in 50ís for the weekend. I can deal with that, it is February after all.

Bracing for more rain. My yard is like walking on a sponge. I ran a flexible drain off a rain spout from the roof that ran right on the down driveway (dumbasses) over to the yard preventing severe iceing. That one section gets to be like a pool when it rains hard, and spongy while it soaks underground.Twice a week rain / snow all winter. Sheesh.
