I bought a Kohler toilet but am holding off on installing it until I have the vanity all hooked up. I just finished mounting the wide set (3 hole) faucets which came with their own drain assemblies (that pop up on their own without those goddamn swizzle sticks.) They didnít come with supply lines though so I have to go back to the hardware store. After that I am putting in new chrome P traps (I know that plastic wonít corrode but Iím sick of dealing with cleaning them and just want to pump Drano down there if you donít mind)

By the way, I am so glad that I took off the doors to the vanity. Itís like working on the car without having to worry about the hood konking you in the head because you took off the hood. Thereís SO much room!

I finished the SIB prototype/ static display/ desktop model of the original
Starship Enterprise NCC-1701. All hand carve from
basswood and balsa, using plans, paint schemes available on the interweb.

I have another one, ready for paint and final prep, that is going in a rum bottle.
It most definitely needs some tweeking and thought as it will be ""built" in the bottle.

Took a month from start to finish. But I have 2. Just haven't emptied a bottle yet. Ahh I mean, purchased the empty bottle yet.

I can't wait to see pics, irie! I used to build Star Trek models - and still have some lying about - that should probably go in the dumpster lol!

Meanwhile, I got a new Kohler toilet and hooked it up. Money WELL spent. I cannot recommend those American Standard toilets. We had 3 of them. Then there were 2. The Kohler is a class above so far.

I also hooked up the sinks. The bathroom now functions - but I still have to build an alcove where the medicine cabinet used to be and I need to trim the door trim (to take into account the raised floor) and repaint/reinstall all the baseboard and trim. Last night we went to Kohls and got new towels and a floor mat. All that's left to buy are mirrors.

I can email or text you a pic, the. You can post it for me? My phone won't post pics on this site (Old ass I phone 5 and old man that doesn't understand technology).

It's small, so not highly detailed. My shipwrights crew kudo'd me.

We did a family dinner and swung by a HUGE home store called “at home” that has pretty much everything. Our goal was to get mirrors for the bathroom and we picked up a pair for about $20 than I was looking at at Home Depot. I remounted the vanity doors and hung the mirrors this morning. Things aren’t lined up perfectly but at this point I’m intentionally glossing over details because I want this project finished.

The alcove where the medicine cabinet used to be is coming along. I had lots of extra trim still stacked in my basement from the wainscoting project and measuring and cutting miters. All I need is a small board for the back, some more paint for the trim and I’m pretty much done.

Got the outside Christmas lights up yesterday before the current snow/sleet storm. I scaled way back. I suppose I will be dancing with the snow blower this afternoon.

All our decorations are in bins in the attic which I brought down. I put fake candles in the windows and a wreath on the front door. My wife put all the indoor decorations up then I put most of the bins right back up there. The outdoor lights are still waiting, but TBH I'm just not feeling it.

Well it is 9:00 AM and I just finished 2 hours of snow blowing. I want to be a weatherman when I grow up. the 3-5 inches of snow predicted grew to about 12 inches.

Happy early winter, Mark! Somebody needs to check on irie. He may be stuck on his driveway! ;o)

FWIW it missed us but we did get a dusting. I checked on my mom's cat and started her car, which was coated with a sheen of ice and snow. It was filthy before but all the dirt seems to have bonded with the ice; when I swept the snow off the hood and roof it exposed pristine white paint. It just goes to show that my mother does not take care of her stuff. It's not necessarily a sign of her advancing age; she never has. SMH.

Hee hee.
Our 12 turned into 4.
Buttttt... That's all it takes for the power to be out for lets see...30 hours now? But who's counting. Bought a genny 2 year ago and finally get to use it. I'm a newbie at this.
The boss had to go to Milford-hour away first thing in the morning. Turns out they were closed. She could have lost her job if they were open. Would be just like them to be open. 3 others showed up just in case...

Good neighbor checked in on us. Q&A on our readiness talked to me about generator use and then came back with more gasoline for my genny and a can of propane for my grill. He refused payment. We are gonna get them a gift card and insist they take it. Blessed to have them.
