For some reason I thought she was older. Was her tantrum the reason why you had to do the floors? I'd have had her help.

FWIW I tried that tact with Justin once upon a time when he started taking amusement from seeing me clean up his messes, but it had unforeseen consequences. He either enjoyed cleaning up so much or enjoyed seeing me do it so much that he got creative with his mess making. His love for bubbles translated into him dumping liquid detergent all over the floor because he figured that the shampooer could make waaaaay more bubbles that way!

Funny you should bring that up.
I did have to mop the ketchup up off the kitchen floor. See I was "in her way" trying to clear off the table where she left some book work earlier. Making room so she could sit down and eat ya know. She came flying through and had to hit the brakes.
Then her attitude kicked in. Flipping out. Then the crying later. She was practicing the routine and she realized if she don't get better, she won't be in it.

3 loads of laundry.
Wife cancelled the cab for today's stem school.
During laundry I redid the bowsprit (2 pieces as per plans- details Jeff)
Then I made 5 cannons. I've been searching hi and lo for ideas on materials for cannon. Couldn't find anything in the house. Even consulted the forum. I remember from sometime long ago, nails could be cut to size. They look good from outside the bottle.
So I cut 5 to size. Gotta rest my hand. I need 5 more! Using cutting pliers.
Gotta go to arts school tomorrow. Won't be back at it for a while. Think I'll wait till Monday. No rush, right?

Not to one-up you but I did about 5 loads of laundry up until about 11pm. I also ran out to the grocery store and hardware store for small consumables. That's pretty much rote.

My treat to me was running out to the library at 8am to pick up some videos that I had requested from a remote location. Our local libraries are all affiliated and maintain an online catalog that is accessible online so it's set up that you can have materials transferred to a closer branch for pickup. They employ a fleet of vans for that very purpose. There are at least 50 branches throughout Allegheny county. Easily.

It actually sounds like a pretty sweet job. I'm going to look into it.

We gotta go to my to see my brain specialist in NJ this afternoon. Since the implant is working good, and now I know when and how to boost it,
I hope we can talk about dropping some pills.
After that, my wife has an appt to see one of her docs she didn't want to give up either in NJ.

Gr8 news!
Slowly tapering off the pill that has the most damaging long term effects, and cost the most of the ones I take.
Yay!!!
Bad news- I just filled my prescription for 30 day supply at higher dosage.

I'm beat, just finished installing 490 sq. foot go vinyl planks in the basement, replacing the carpet lost in the last flood. I'm too old for this crap.

I vacuumed and mopped yesterday right before my mom and wife arrived to go to Joey's concert at the local nursing home. I got chewed out for using too much water but I'll be damned if I was going to put up with the inevitable implication that I don't carry my weight by being caught sitting on my ass. I didn't touch my wife's bathroom or her side of the bedroom though. The cluttered vanity and her clothes and shopping bags lying on the floor are all on her.

That being said, it occurs to me that I need to get back in the mindset of working on the house - particularly with regards to the bathrooms and giving the kitchen a facelift with new cabinet doors and hinges and a backsplash. I'm sick of looking at dated vanities coated with toothpaste, hairspray, condiments, whatever. I need to start stockpiling materials like plywood, green board, tile, tubs, etc. so that I can do the demolition and then move directly on to doing the surround and flooring. I need to make up a spreadsheet and document costs and measurements.

Meanwhile my wife says I need to continue work on the outside of the house but F that noise: it's almost winter and there's already snow on the ground and ice dripping from the eaves. The closest I'll come to that it clearing out the garage.

I bumped into my wife's uncle Bill who hooked me up with a plumber several years ago when Justin was going through that phase of flushing things and turning my garage into a festid swimming pool. Long story short, he remodeled their master bathroom for something like $13K. I need to give him a call.

PS: did laundry today. Yippee.
