Not as spectacular or mindblowing but here's the proverbial barn door that was fixed after the horse came home:

Yeah, the leaves need to be rake and the deck needs a few more coats of stain and I admit the yard ain't even that big but at least I don't have to be prepared to sprint after the boy anymore.

By the way, the third picture is the neighbors' house that Justin gets into and put them in a panic. The houses are barely 30 feet apart.

Yup. My wife STILL wants to move though. She says it doesn't add value to the house. Personally, I can't put a price tag on the sense of security I now enjoy and I wonder what planet she originally came from.

I would bet it does increase the value of your home..
Ask a realtor in your area

Shut down the site!!

Looks great! Not sure it adds value or not but I think most potential buyers with kids would want it. Like you said, the peace of mind is totally worth it to you. Hopefully you wont have to electrify it for a couple of years.

Yeah, that's a nice looking fence. I was thinking the same as tt though, looks like you might need to add rolled barb wire to the top. That'd help resale value.

Supposed to hit 70 almost here today, amazing weather.

No, it's not perfect but I'm banking on it being a way to blow off steam. I still keep the back door locked - whether he's in or out. He's never been a climber so we have that going for us. His little brother OTOH....

Still. He's constantly testing. He knows it takes a key to open the locks and if he wants attention he'll start throwing things over the fence - including rocks.

40 degrees F with a 20 knot sustained winds until nightfall. Debating soccer practice. An hour on the cold.
