Good luck Kwak. I can't believe they are still interviewing people for seasonal help at UPS on December 13th. By the time you get up and running the Holidays will be over.

I'm inclined to agree Mark, but still they called back. I don't have high expectations - especially since I'm sick - but I submitted the application to basically calm my wife's nerves.

Thx but it's a crap job. I was at least 20 years older than everyone else in the room AND the interviewers.

$10.20 and hour. I get a call if they even need me anywhere between 7-9am, I meet the driver at a predetermined meetup point anywhere between 10am-2pm and can be riding along until as late as 6pm.

Joey gets home from school at 3:30 so he could conceivably be home alone for 90 minutes - but he's not mature enough yet. That's coming from the pediatrician. I texted my wife and she said she could be home by 4. Otherwise it would be $15 an hour or so for after school daycare.

It won't go beyond 12/31 either. Frankly I don't think it's worth it. Lowe's pays $12 an hour and it'd be full time with benefits.

Good luck in your decision Kwak but I think you already made it.

All the car dealers around here offer Jitney service for service customers if they want it. I have used the service a few times recently and have been picking the drivers heads. Basically it is usually around 7AM to 4PM. and one Saturday a month from 7AM to 11AM. Aside from driving customers you might have to move parts from dealership to dealership. They also occasionally use the drivers to transport cars interstate. All the guys I have talked to say they are treated great. It pays about $15 an hour. I think it might be a nice way to slip back into some kind of job soon.

C’mon, DayQuil!
I interviewed for a truck loader position back in the day, I'd much rather be a drivers helper.

Good luck!

Good morning,

Joey has a two hour delay (bus at 9:30), my cold has gotten worse and UPS called to ask if I was available to work (I told them I wouldn’t be available until Monday.)
