Pretty busy weekend here. Wife has a business dinner at Ruth's Chris and then we went to Topgolf. Pretty fun evening. Girls stayed with my parents so we decided to get a hotel room instead of driving back home. Had church Sunday morning and then girls have cheer leading Sunday afternoon.

We had a date night on Saturday night. Our regular babysitter wasn't available so we had to pay the freight for care.com. We had a good time with friends and managed to smooth over some ruffled feathers but overindulged and spent half of Sunday just getting started. We spent about an hour with Justin who seemed to be in good spirits - though I think we all would like to have been able to do more.

It's just under 3 weeks until our couple's getaway sans kids. The first time in 10 years for me.

I had to do some digging but I'm bringing this one back.

Justin's former aide from his day school wants to come visit him at the RTF before sitting for us Saturday night. Then my wife is taking me out on a date to a fancy restaurant dahntahn. It won't be a late night though.

The youngest turns 4 tomorrow so we're taking him up to Syracuse to go to Build-a-Bear. When we were up there a year ago for Halloween he saw that place and still brings it up from time to time, so we figured he'd love it. Plus it'll just be nice getting out of town for a little bit.

We have a baptism on the other side of the state. Hoping to get home in time for kickoff of "The Big Game." Not going to use the actual name in case Roger Goodell is nosing around. Don't want to get sued.

Tomorrow is Gabe's 7th birthday. He's been really excited for it all week, especially since tomorrow he'll be having his first party. So we've got to clean the house up and secure the living room for an onslaught of 6/7 year olds.

We're also going to give him his present from my dad today after he gets home from school. My dad got him that whole rock band thing for the PS4 - the one with the guitar and drums and microphone and such. So we figured let him romp on that so that he doesn't want to just turn that on when people come over tomorrow. So got to set it all up and update everything so it's ready for him when he gets home.

Oh yeah, and the usual hockey and swimming lessons. Last weekend for hockey for him for the season.
