LB James Harrison news released by the Steelerss and now plays for the Pats. Itís not a good thing but apparently the conditions of his departure were not unlike RB Blount several years ago; basically he packed up his toys in a huff and went to somebody elseís sandbox to play.

Iím not worried about THAT! Word is that Debo was too busy sulking and mock snoring during meetings to pay attention.

Some good playoff games this weekend! Didn't get to sit and really watch any of them but saw bits and pieces. Poor Chiefs! Makes it funny because my brother in law is a Chiefs fan. But man! Blew an 18 point 2nd half lead! That hurts! Go Saints! Can't give Minnesota the satisfaction of being the first team ever to participate in a Super Bowl in their home stadium.

This thread has been quiet given that many of you live in the two championship markets. MarkB, you made an interesting observation in the MLB thread that deserves to be in this thread:

I love watching the refs march the Pats down the field at least once a game. The botched fumble call that should have been a Jags touchdown early second half was the biggest nail in the coffin. Let the guy run and you can review it later as ALL turnovers are.
Yet, if you talk to a Patriots fan theyíre the perennial underdog beltrying to be kept down by the commissioner - who is the team ownerís BFF - never mind the fact that they continually get busted for breaking the rules in order to get a competitive edge.

Donít get me started on Philadelphia fans though. No offense to youse guys, but Iím expecting the city to burn win or lose.

So....,
The NFL won't let the AMVETS put ad in the Super Bowl program?

It's gonna say #Please stand
Ooh "that's politics we don't do that" , says Goodell.

Heard it on the news twice. WNEB

Well today is the big day for football. I hope it is a good game without a lot of reviewed plays and the refs resist the urge to drag the Patriots down the field when the Pats need it the most.

I have no illsuions that this game will be anything over than a damning testimony for the abolishment of instant replay. The real line in Vegas isnít that the Patriots will win, the line should be the number of minutes wasted watching a zebra with his head stuck in an orifice.
