So glad on top of everything else I went ahead and mowed and edged the lawn this afternoon. Looks like rain heading for the next few days. Must be the weekend coming. This is getting old.

Nice day until right around when the kids should get home from school. They say thatís when thunderstorms are going to roll through. That, of course, will be bringing cold air with it sinking the weekend and beyond in to the 60ís.

Yesterday, I took the kids to the park and changed and bled the calipers on the van. No more soft brakes.

Homeschool is "out" for summer. We just finished day 180 (state requirement.) We meet the State evaluator in a couple weeks to look over records, worksheets, quizzes, lesson plans, etc.
I cleaned one bathroom and cleaned the floor in the one I tried to clean yesterday.

It's like I can only do one bathroom a day. I'm totally exhausted. Hell with showers. Do that when it looks like it needs it.

Lopped off a couple bushes to bottom of the window level, and sculpted three shrubs. 2 in a sphere, 1 in a cube. Should have wore gloves. Blisters.
Side note: wonder how long or if wifey notices. Maybe Pippa will snitch on me for using tools.

I bought half a ton of sand to put under the levelled area for the pool and filled it up. Just a small 10ft pool for the kids, but good for us on a budget. Total investment, including sand and water, $100.

In a few years, after I go back to work, maybe we can save-up about $30k or $40k and do a nice in-ground pool.

I worked a couple hours, came home, had a beer and am thinking about what I need to get done. It's summer vacation, guys!

I swept the down stairs.
Then, I took a good long look at my ship in a bottle project. I thought to myself, ""what a piece of crap." She was about ready to get sails and final riggin. The mast were on, and side stays.
It didn't quite look like the the boat I'm modeling her after. I cut her down. Sanded her down to wood and started over.
Hell, I got all summer.

Oh I washed 2 loads of laundry. Coloreds and whites.

4 loads of wash, usual shopping, installed 40 feet of faux ivy fence blind in the backyard for a little more privacy from our neighbors and our pool, and helped a buddy reinstall some loose tiles in his bathroom. Unfortunately he has to clean the original tiles for proper fitment so I finished off a few of his beers and will go back tomorrow to finish the job. It is now Beer:30!
