I like to pick up soup bones from the butcher and use those to make stock in the Instant Pot. When I have a little extra time I'll make up a batch and freeze. Comes in handy.

I've seen some people will freeze stock in ice cube trays and use those in place of bullion. I haven't tried that trick yet though.

We will never ever go back to doing eggs any way different. HUGE +1 on that.

Huh, never tried hard boiled eggs in it. Never found it that big a deal to just boil a pot of water. Does the Instant Pot cooking method make the eggs any easier to peel? If so I might have to try it out.

Unbelievably so. I read about it on some homesteading sites. Even freshly laid eggs peel clean, it's pretty awesome. I'm still working on the cooling quickly part, my last batch came out a little "green" in the yolk from over cooking. Gotta cool them quick. 5 pressure, 5 wait, release and cool is what I've been doing. Maybe I'll try 4 wait or 3 wait before release.

Holy chickens! I just made some boiled eggs in the intant pot. A cup of water, the steam rack, 5 eggs, 13 minutes on low pressure, quick release, and a couple minutes in cold tap water.

I've never been able to peel eggs so easily, and they were fully cooked and moist. This is only way that I will be hard boiling eggs.

Just did hard boiled eggs in the Instant pot last night (high pressure for 5 minutes, let pressure naturally cool for 3 minutes, then vent remaining pressure, put eggs in ice bath). Not only did the eggs come out perfectly how I like them to be, but the shell slipped right off with almost no effort.

Yup, never making hardboiled eggs any other way.

We made bone broth last night after eating a chicken. We're still loving it!
