My uncle's 50th HS reunion is this weekend and he's flying in from Phoenix for it. He and his wife will be visiting my parents. So we're driving there Saturday for that and the All Ohio Balloon Festival. When I was a kid, we'd go to the airport at 6am in the backs of trucks with family sitting on coolers in the back to sneak drinks in to watch the balloons inflate. Should be a good weekend. Maybe even worth 8 hours on the road.

Secret Star Society ,aka SSS, :enter at your own risk
Wife has em in the house too

Just stained em with CWF....having a spray gun made it a lot easier too.
The sanding was the killer(little hand held orbit)...I actually like how they came out and look on the house
I have a ton of 1 and 2 foot cedar pieces left over..Thinking of making a few custom humidors and see if i can sell em

Well, we just got back from visiting my old porch over the weekend. Drove down Thursday night to Richmond to visit our friends in the old hood. Got there at 2AM Friday. 9 hour drive time. Left today at 10 AM and got home via I95 this time with a 7.5 hour drive time. Has to be a record!! And we hit some traffic in NYC to boot. Anyway, it was very nice to reconnect with old friends that until we visited did not realize how much we missed. Busch Gardens, BBQ and beers. The kids had the best time with all of their old buddies. Hopefully that will hold them for a while.

I hear you ..we've been in our current place for 5 years now,and the friends we made here are good, but they just aren't the same as the friends you grew up with...Unfortunately ,every time we do get back home for a visit(only 3 hours away, not 9 ...wow) i hardly ever reconnect with the old gang..

Looking for vehicles now...looked at jeep commanders ,nissan pathfinders and toyota sequoia's...Think we are going to stay in the suv department instead of the crossovers, they just sit too low for my liking ,and most don't have V8's

This. Friends don't let friends buy Jeeps. I drove one and hated it. My friend had a souped up Jeep Cherokee or whatever, but it's loaded. It was sweet. He got another and loves the new one as well. Then again when it breaks down he has the coin to buy another one. LOL.

I like Toyota and what about a Honda?
