hit 2 miles today at a good pace, then 1/2 mile on two other machines I honestly don't know what they are called, one is like a stair step thing but you can lean backand work your abs, the other is kinda line a stair/ski machine. I like Saturday's as I don't have to rush.

I read somewhere (could have been here) that, as far as physical activity or exercise goes, you should find something that you enjoy doing anyway that's physical and do it. Be it hiking, swimming, canoeing, rowing, running, bike riding, or tree climbing. If you don't enjoy it, you won't do it consistently.
For me it's walking with the kids for an hour or so and listen to a good audio book. The kids enjoy the ride or sleep, and I get to spend an hour of peace engrossed in a good book. I look forward to hiking, camping, and backpacking with the kids when they are older. Hopefully, they will want to go with me. ![]()

I don't mind hitting the gym, unless it's a bunch of old farts that love to parade naked around the mens locker room, yuck.
I miss training in Tae Kwon Do, that was a fun workout. Saturday morning, bright and early at 7:00am a bunch of us "old dudes" play a 2 hour game of floor hockey, great exercise. |

normally there are 8-10 people at the gym at 5 a.m., this morning there were around 40! New years resolutions. One older guy said in the locker room, "give it a month" lol

only about half the amount of people today. I'm not losing anymore weight but I know my beer keg gut is getting smaller

Good on ya! I've been stable in my weight for a few weeks now, but my clothes fit better, too. By the end of the month your gym will be pretty quiet again. When we had our memberships we actually just skipped the first two weeks of January because it was so busy!

GREAT workout today. Saturday's are just nice, don't have to work and all afterward. Still at 2 miles but I have them to just under 9 min. a mile, which isn't bad considering I'm old and carry the keg with me.
Tony I'm with you on the clothes fitting better, I've seen a good difference there. |
