Yeah, it was nice. I set up shop in the garage and made some sawdust. It was nice to actually have sunshine to see my work by and didn't even wear my respirator. I only quit because I was running out of daylight and needed to sweep up the mounds of sawdust.

Winter is coming you say? Personally, I can't wait for April and the final season of GOT and being able to work outdoors again. In the meantime, stay warm. I have my thermals ready and my wife has taken up knitting.

I been wearing my thermals for a couple months now. We keep the house at 68 and I'm still cold. It's the islander in me. On the island at 69 you see people with parkas on.

Grey and cold. Feels like snow coming. But that does not appear to be the case. Only very cold temps.

5-8 inch inches of snow in the next 12 hours, then the big chill.

6" or so of puffy snow on the ground. Sunny and clear out now. I shoveled the end of the driveway a bit by hand (in shorts and tee shirt!) so my daughter can get out to school which had a 90 minute delay. I will deal with the rest later.

It's cold here (7 with a wind chill of -13) but the snow has been light. I can still see the grass poking through. I'm more worried about the wind chill and ice. I fill up a bathtub last night and let the water trickle in the deep sink in the basement.

NWS has issued a winter weather advisory until 10am today (even though they're only calling for a snowfall total of 1") and a wind chill advisory until Thursday at 5pm. They're expecting wind chill as low as -25. I suspect that in addition to today, school will be called off tomorrow.
