My driveway is an Olympic downhill ski jump. I gotta have a plowman. Most of the time Momma just lets the xterra roll down straight and power slides at the bottom turn onto the street.

The car... No way. We keep her garaged.

Good news. Ground hog day is just around the corner.
Soon the daffodils and lilacs will be pushing through the ground and not long after we will be complaining about the heat and humidity.

After a delayed ( 90 minute) start to the school day and now they are dismissing about an hour early today due to inclement weather coming this evening. What a mess. Now with the cold snap coming overnight me thinks there will be at least a delay tomorrow.

As for your driveway being a ski jump, that was one of my demands in looking for a house in the North East when we moved back here. Relatively flat driveway. Mine is fairly large but pretty flat.

Negative 54 wind chill when I woke up this morning. School cancelled today. Already called school for tomorrow for the 3rd time in 4 days. Questionable if should have had it yesterday but did. Freezing picking up my daughter from school. All the parents are standing outside complaining about how cold it is. Kids come out. Grab them and literally run to the car. Live only a block and a half from school. Always walk. Drove yesterday. First thing my daughter says when she gets out, "Dad, can I play in the snow before we go home?" Everyone busts out laughing.

Had a 20 minute whiteout snow squall here tonight stating around 5:00PM. Perfect timing. Of course my daughter was driving to tutor class. Going down a hill she was using low gear like I taught her. Good girl. Her ABS kicked in but due to the snow and the hill she still could not stop. She turned into a parking lot and avoided some oncoming cars. Good girl. So upset she waited until the snow passed and returned home.

I don't blame these people, it blew in FAST. Your daughter has a good head on her shoulders

Yup Capt. That was the same squall, just 3 hours or so later. Scary. I have never driven in one. I will pass your compliment off to my daughter. Thanks.

Clear and cold here. 10* at 9:00 AM. We have had worse.

Captain, I passed on your kind words to my daughter about her avoiding the accident and told her about the accident in PA you posted about. She looks at me dead panned and says "have you actually met any of these guys you talk about every so often?" Too funny. I told her I have talked on the phone and texted with a couple of them. They are not my imaginary friends. Then she asked if they knew other stuff about her like all of her ankle surgeries and the like. I told her some do know a little about her and then she asked if I would invite some of these guys to her wedding some day? Ummm, no dear. It ain't like that. Too funny.

LOL! And here I was pressing my blue leisure suit. It still fits!

BTW, my wife feels the same way Mark. She has lots of friends on FB but she sees them IRL too. It's kinda hard for me to do that if we're always hanging around with her friends.

Yes those squalls can be a "b"! Stay safe everyone. So today we're again in the -45 range for wind chill again. Monday....forecast of a high temp of 46! 90 degree swing in 3 days? Almost hard to wrap your head around that.
