Default Sneaking food?

Hey Guys,

So, I blame myself for some of this, as, in the nature of my work, I'm working with, talking about, and cooking food a lot.

My daughter is 10, and we're really struggling with her sneaking food, even in the middle of the night. We feed her enough, lol, and I've gotten rid of sugary and junk foods, thinking that should do it, but she just switched over to regular food from the fridge (meats, cheeses, left-overs, etc.) and food from the cupboards. She has some basic cooking skills, so she can prepare food from raw ingredients, as well.

We've grounded her, taken away her electronics (she has an i-Pad for homeschooling), deducted the cost of food from her allowance, explained why it's not healthy, and that we need to be able to trust her...nothing seems to work! She occasionally will lie to us, when confronted, but typically apologizes and seems repentant. Then, she does it again within a few hours.

She's beginning to have a weight problem, and I've VERY careful not to make her self-conscious, as I don't want to encourage food-issues as she goes into her teens, which is why I'm also hesitant to put locks on the fridge, or stuff like that.

I'm at a loss...

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
