$50 more off the price and I'm in for and XBONE. Just checked: yup, I'm still in the doghouse for buying the 360 which is still chugging along. My kid is lobbying for a wii u for his Bday though so it might be awhile.

I don't really play online as I don't have friends who really game (and I suck hard at first person shooter type games). So any kind of online play or what others have doesn't really factor in - it makes it easier though for me to system hop. I've just heard some negatives lately about the Xbox, but seeing as how I've never really used either of the newer consoles all I hear is random things people post, most of which need to be taken with a grain of salt.

Being already used to the controller is a good call. I went from a playstation to the Xbox 360 and I remember having to fight against muscles memory with the different controller lay outs. If we do get a new one I don't think it will be until around the holidays, sort of a big family gift since all of us use the current 360. We'd just get a new one in lieu of any other kind of presents.

The ps4 is a little more powerful and smaller but the Xbox one allows you to play some 360 games but there's more being added all the time. I also like how the xbone has the HDMI passthrough, I really like the Xbox guide rather than Verizon's and it's pretty great changing channels with kinect haha.

Me "X Box ,watch ESPN"
Wife "X Box, watch HGTV"
Kids "X Box ,watch cartoon network"

It really is so convenient..Sometimes we go days without the remote..
We all love it ..

You would have to look at exclusive games too .
One system may have the games you want to play over the other .
Like ,halo and gears will probably never be on PS,and bloodborne and last of us will probably never be on xbox.

Is there a way to set a timer on the wii u like on the XBOX 360? With the latter I can get my kid to come up for air every now and then but on the wii u it's a major battle to even get him to look up.

Go old school and plug it in to a timer. Or just unplug the thing when it's time. ;-)
