Grandpa gave Pippa a 3/4 Yamaha acoustic guitar (Baby Taylor).
He's an accomplished recording artist himself and performs with his blues band regionally. He's offered free lessons for life via Skype and in person. Also gave her a gig bag and accessories, and an Alfred's starter lessons book. He said, "You ever need strings you let me know." He's gonna bring out guitar polish next time.
Pippa is stoked.

School.
Set up telescope indoors. Balanced it. Marked balance spots on tube, and weights.
Checked collimation. Holy carp! Looking at instruction manual photos- it never was correctly collimated! Ups must have thrown it around.
Collimated it.
Broke it down and set it up on the driveway pad.
Took a walk with Pippa and the dog.
Had lunch.
Made keto cheddar biscuits. Surprise for wifey.
Vacuumed downstairs
Planned my astro viewing night. (What do I want to see? In what order?)

Kept getting clouded out and couldn't finish a 2 star alignment that the goto computer would accept.
Not all was lost, Mizar is a double star. I spent time checking it out.
Then it got really windy and cold and I had to break down and go to bed.

Taping in anticipation of painting over my slop when I did the trim upstairs. There are still some gaps in the caulking around the trim though. Damn.

Meanwhile, the RH is all over the place so I can't tinker on the guitar building. Maybe next month. I can still make jigs though. I took my little bench top drill press outside (ya gotta love Harbor Freight's cheap alternatives with a 20% off coupon to top it off) and set it up as a makeshift spindle sander to work on my template for the new guitar molds.

Other than that, this mucus in my chest is starting to really tick me off. It's really interfering with my sleep. When I go to bed I feel better but then I wake up tired with a throat full of muck. Ugh.

Oh well, I need to keep my attitude up and work on my goals. I've been wanting to get into this interior design thing and researching Autodesk software. I'm not about to spend $2K on software but there are free alternatives like Sketchup and Blender to get my skills back up to par. It's been too long.

I've been watching tutorials on a 3D modeling program called Blender. It's free and very powerful. What I learned 3D design on was bought buy AutoDesk software and cannibalized into their expensive suite of various different specialized software packages.

BTW, I showed my wife and Joey what I was doing in a little free program I found online (that I wouldn't recommend) and later after I'd let Joey play on my laptop he came back with his interpretation made in Roblox studio. It was humbling and flattering.

Took Pippa to her first day of "running club." She made friends and said she loved it.
Then took her for ice cream.
Then dropped in to an antique consignment shop to look for a bottle. With the bosses help, found a antique pint bottle for $2!!!
Guy who put it up didn't know what he had!!!
So I got it home, cleaned it up.
Wifey came home and it was birthday dinner time. Out to Red Robin- Pippa's choice.
When the girls went to bed, got to looking for the plans I scaled down for my next SIB build. Couldn't find them?! Only on a 3x5 card. Easily lost. So I dug through the interweb to find photos again and redid it, making it to size, fitting it on the 3x5 with measurements on everything.
Tomorrow after school, I'm cutting wood.

Change of plans.
School took all day.
Finale was to right her own biography, at least 10 complete sentences answering questions asked in assignment.
There was tears! Lots of them.

It looks like we're having both bathroom tubs replaced - just the bathtubs and surround, though. The project will cost less than $20K but we still have to do the flooring and vanities.

My wife put our name in with a contractor at the home show at the convention center and they came out last night to give their spiel on their proprietary product which is acrylic. Afterward, my wife made the decision right then and there to move forward.

She says she will help with the tile. I'm holding her to it and will be dragging her to Home Depot for tile and fixtures.

No. Point of view. Teacher wants it like on the back jacket of a book.
"Your biography."

So and so was born in blah blah blah...
For 10 sentences. Hobbies, likes, where youve been... Blah blah blah

She lives with her family and pets in blankety blank blank.
