I'm sure brand matters to some extent, but look for one that is the capacity that you are looking for. I would not go for the smallest unless you are only cooking for yourself. Size matters.
Great for cooking wings. We primarily use ours for making small batches of fries for my son. All of the pre-programmed temps/times are nice, I'm sure, but we mostly manually input time and temperature for the handful of foods that we cook with it.

A little late but the Ninja Foodi is da bomb. It's a pressure cooker and air fryer all in one. I use mine a least every other day for dinner. Get the 8 quart model, you can pressure cook then air fry a whole chicken and it's delicious.

We got a KitchenAid model that is sort of a combination toaster over/air fryer. It’s nice to have the option. TBH I don’t use the air fryer function much but it works - just a little too well. I wouldn’t walk away from it.

We have an air fryer my FIL bought us. It is collecting dust in the pantry. It is a PIA to clean after using it and we require a bit more of a fistful of food to feed the family.

Sorry, I checked again and we have a Cuisinart:
https://www.kohls.com/product/prd-37...Silver&prdPV=8 I use it more as a toaster. There's a separate timer knob for that function but both will cut the power once the timer is up. OTOH it's big enough to do a half bag of french fries, onion rings, chicken tenders, etc. and on air fry takes less than 10 minutes. My only gripe is more of an with me than it; I burn things too easily and am trying to see if I can still do the job in the 300-350 range instead of the 400-425 that the instruction say to set it at - and burn (or at least dry out) the food every time. Yes, the tray and basket are hard to keep clean but that's true of anything and why it's a good practice to use tin foil. I like that there's a tray (below the door) that slides out and can be washed separately.

Good answers all.
I’ll keep my peepers open at the store.
