Default Mother's Day

My wife reminded me that Mother's Day is coming up. She told me that this year she'd really like a new tree to go in that hole I dug in the yard for her one year.

Good thing I filled that hole in or I'd be tempted to go crawl in!

What are you guys doing for the women who went through hell to delivery your children? ;o)

Weíve never really done much of anything to celebrate Motherís Day or Fatherís Day. I think last year I took the kids to a park for the day so she could have some peace and quiet. Donít know if the boys want to do something for her this year or not.

Saturday she gets the whole day to do whatever she wants. Which usually means shopping. However, depending on "what she's finding," this often turns into a crabby phone call around noon and whatever I'm doing with the kids, or wherever I took them for lunch becomes, "You went there without me!" There are times however, when she goes shopping all day and comes back happy. So let's hope for a "good shopping day." Sunday she wanted brunch at a local supper club so I made that reservation and then whatever she wants to do.

I ordered my mother flowers from 1800flowers.com
Saturday is our daughters first communion celebration afterwards.
I'll have her "make mommy a card".

Mommy wants new running shoes so we will take care of that. We usually spend Mother's Day weekend potting plants front and back. She has been beyond busy at work so we shall see what her energy level is. Did I mention she has to fly to the west coast Sunday night? Yup! Thanks home office!

I'm not sure what we are going to do. Time away isn't really what she wants considering she has been on the road 8 of the last 10 weeks. Maybe grab lunch after church and if the weather cooperates a lazy day on the beach.

All the girls on her side are going to a brunch Sunday at a "tea house"
4 generations.

Also, we bought her a new car, so there's that.
