It will be in the upper 70s and low 80s all this week, with rain and thunderstorms every afternoon. Good growing weather for the lawn and that dogwood tree I just planted.

It also means that I'm mowing twice as frequently and getting dirty. The only downside is that the grass and tree pollen kicked my butt and I'm just getting over a sinus infection because of it. I'm also moderately allergic to grass; the clippings raise red welts on my bare skin and play havoc with my sinuses. I need to wear a breath mask and wear long sleeves when I use the trimmer on the high grass. It all comes down to losing a good 5 pounds of water weight after every session.

Power out till Friday. Hail as big as marbles, tree down in woods behind yard, tree ON neighbors house across street. Weather service reports it was a tornado in our area. When I saw started shutting the windows and saw the tree come and hail, I gathered us up and ran for the basement. Wife on a conference call and laughed at me. Stayed upstairs, then blamed me??? Wtf!

It is a dank 66* this afternoon. More rain possible in a bit. Last night was fun. We lucked out. Tornadoes reported north and south of us. Our lights never flicked but it was like car wash and dark at 5:00 last night. It was bad enough that I did pull together the candles and flashlights and told my daughter to be ready to head to the family cave. Luckily the wind died down here.

Dank, grey and rainy. This is getting depressing.

Yes, yes it is. Today it might warm up a bit here, but itís unlikely the sun is coming through all the cloud cover. They say 50ís and raining most of the weekend. So Iím guessing the Jr. Olympics here is going to be be cancelled which will bum my kid right out.

With the exception of tomorrow it's going to be in the upper 70s for the next week or so, with chances for thunderstorms every day. Right now it's cloudy and I don't expect it to clear up until the weekend.

Today actually looks like itís going to turn out nice. Low 70ís later in the day and the sun is shining this morning.

Tomorrow though, a bit cooler and rain... rain thatís supposed to hit right at the time our kids are supposed to do their Jr. Olympics. I hope it holds off for them. My garden will appreciate the rain though.
