Sweep downstairs. And mop that big, long hallway.

I bought a PC from Best But 2 years ago and I just renewed the extended coverage for it. When I did I did not realize the deal covered an additional 2 devices. I use my daughter's old Toshiba laptop as a beater in the basement. It developed a problem of not being able to update Windows 10. It would try for a couple of hours then give up and take another 30 minutes reverting back to the old version. Always happened at the worst times. I took it in today and for no additional charge they will straighten it out. For $99 a year bucks I think it is a pretty good deal.

I was actually pleased when the fridge blew a relay. It needed to be cleaned out in the worst way. Sure I paid a guy to come fix it but repairclinic.com and YouTube let me know that it wasn’t a big thing; I just don’t mess with frion or electrical stuff. I’m accident prone.

Now I need to upgrade the chintzy feed line on the ice maker and spend the money on new filters.

.
Done. New self tapping valve, 10' x 1/2" reinforced feed line and $49 reverse osmosis filter installed as of last week. I had most of the materials on hand so the bulk of the work was cleaning the area in the basement in order to do the installation. After I vacuumed away all the cobwebs I even put up little brass brackets on the joists to suspend the line up and out of the way of the reduced clutter below.

It's all working well and I'm hoping that this means that my wife will stop buying gallon jugs of spring water that clutter up the basement and curb on recycling day. It's a personal pet peeve because (despite her being a quasi dedicated fitness junky) she complains that picking up the heavy boxes containing three jugs hurts her dainty little wrists so I have to buy them in the middle of the week and am expected to hoof it down the basement steps to get one when the one upstairs runs out - yet still sits empty on the kitchen counter. I'm tempted to make a garbage chute next; sometimes I feel like she's Goldie Hawn and I'm Kurt Russell in the movie "Overboard."

Now I'm turning my attention back to my acoustic guitar build. I'm nearing the point where I enclose the body so I had to upgrade a work table I'd made that is designed to house the build and serve as a clamping mechanism. Work there involved making it adjustable in height by integrating threaded rods of a longer length in order to give me a little more room to work with. I also purchased a nylon wire running kit (made up of about 20 three foot long hollow nylon rods with threaded end fittings) to serve as the actual clamping devices (that provide tension between the underside of the top and the work below) as well as a piece of peg board to serve as a means of reducing the potential for slippage.

Tonight is Night to Unite (formerly known as Neighborhood Night Out, our city and most of the metro didn't want to pay royalties...) and we're hosting. I'm sweating so I must be doing something.

You are better man than me. I leave it to the fine folks at Petsmart. I think I get more nervous than the dogs when I try. I cut one short and that lead to a bloody mess for a few hours. BTW, I call it a "pawdicure".

All I did was hurry with school and make snicker doodle fat bombs. Can't run out of those. Perfect dessert. And for when you need to cut the food craving between meals.
