We're getting June weather in August. The pool is almost too cool in the low 80's and the garden is going nuts. We're picking pickling cucumber about every 4 or 5 days.

I've got carolina reapers and ghost peppers finally turning orange and red. You guys have got to try a reaper. A truly once in a lifetime experience unlike any other pepper. Just have plenty of strong lemonade and dill pickles handy. I find that acid cuts the heat better than milk. Additionally, don't drink anything that will make you burp.

We're getting early fall weather here and I'm thinking it may be time to start overseeding the lawn.

As for ghost peppers? No thank you. I finally got my guts to stop churning.

I'm doing back to school paperwork for my boys this week. Given Justin's situation it's really complicated. I didn't think things were lined up completely so I have to make calls to ensure that he's actually set to start attending classes next Wednesday - especially since he's been really unhappy about school in general. Joe is set to start next Thursday but he's been in band camp at the school for the last two weeks anyway, so it's not going to be as much of a shock to him.

Ours have been back in school since the first of the month, so we've gotten into our groove.
I think that I'll put some effort into working on the deck today. I've got a lot of little things that need to be done and a screen wall for the upper porch to design. I put all of this off until the temps came down and the kids went back to school, so I need to get this done.
