Good morning, guys.

I moved my parents water heater yesterday. We'll be moving the "well house" today, maybe. All of this is being done to make a mechanical closet under the house that's contained in an actual cinderblock, concrete floor room as opposed to dirt and crawl space. All of this should have been done before they moved-in last year, but here we are. Nothing like living in a remodel. At least its not my remodel.

Good morning,

Day two of painting a messy teenager's room. Since he didn't clean his room like I asked, I'm just gonna throw some stuff away.

Good morning,

Wait until they're in high school and they want to sleep in but they've got extracurricular stuff scheduled.

We've got our kid in marching band so that he doesn't blow stuff off but now we're on the hook to pick him up at 10:30 on Friday nights AND have him back at 7AM the next morning for community performances - AND it takes at least 45 minutes to get his formerly ADHD body out of bed. Even his "elopement risk" older autistic brother is content to just lounge around when it suits him.

I swear, does the torture for parents ever end? Why did we have kids again?

We kinda miss field band and drumline. My wife was very active in boosters and it was such a shit show with parents, the same ones doing all the volunteering. But it was fun to watch the competitions. Too bad COVID stopped my son from competing half his junior and senior years. But it was early Saturday mornings and late evening pick-ups. In a blink of an eye it's over :(

Good Friday Night Lights morning. After giving me loads of crap about getting up out of bed and out the door on time Boyo went off to school wearing shorts and a hoodie. In addition, my wife (who's back to work in the office 4 days a week now) is working from home today. I'm thinking I may have to run out to Dunkin.

Morning, guys.

I know that post was from Friday, but a Dunkin' run would be great today. It's not going to happen, but it would be nice. \\ Anyway, another day of digging ditches. I kind of got yesterday off from my dad but not really.

I'll be doing the polar plunge to winterize the pool today (go in to put in an expansion plug in the lower jet). Maybe I'll get the yard work finished this week, maybe. My fall list is growing.

Good day.

It was looking like a rain out so I went back to bed for an hour. Mea culpa.

Morning, guys.

I'll be glad when my parents' little project is done. I'm sure that I've got some things around the house that I would like to do.

Good morning.

Things must be going back to normal: school has gone back to having these two hour delays for training. The freshman doesn't have to go to school in the dark and the sunrise is one of those beautiful golden ones. He also has no band practice today.
