Nfl 2021-2022
It's been quiet but crowds are back in the stadiums. Who's going to games? Whose teams actually matter? Is anybody doing the whole Sunday ritual? If so, how are you watching? Do you have tickets or do you just go to church in your team swag then hang out at home?
Here in Pittsburgh 18 years of winning football seems to ended. Big Ben is a shell of his former self on the field and admittedly a passive aggressive diva off the field. After years of having Cleveland and Cincinnati as sure W's on the schedule, most of the O line has retired and replaced by a younger, less experienced crew and Ben's arm practically fell off two years ago. After inexplicably beating the Buffalo Bills the Steelers have been a losing team and are dead last in the AFC North. Last week they got beat by both themselves and Aaron Rodgers and the Pack. Now the debate here is that Rodgers and Steelers coach Mike Tomlin are having an open love affair on the media and the yinzer on the local sports talk radio are saying that maybe Rodgers could be happier here? Trading a 39 yo has-been quarterback for a 36 yo so-to-be has-been QB seems to a robbing Peter to pay Paul type of scenario though and I'd hate to have to actually root for the Browns, but I can't deal with having two losing Pittsburgh franchises with another (namely the Pittsburgh Penguins) also having TWO key star athletes nearing retirement to watch for the remainder of the year.

I'm exhausted, watched the Bills whip the Chiefs and the rain delay at halftime kept me up way later than normal, ZZZZZZ!

The AFC as a whole is frustrating to watch, but here in Pittsburgh it's the end of an era. Clearly the decline started a long time ago though but now it's time to pay the piper.
