Good morning, guys.

I need the heat to back down. I can't help feeling useless stuck inside with the kids all day. Normally we would hit the store on hot days just to get out and use someone else's A/C, but a trip to the store is expensive in gas and
for groceries. High gas and inflation is seriously hurting our budget.

Good morning,

Yeah, it hit 92 yesterday and today's going to be similar - but throw in the chance of thunderstorms. I need to clean up my landscaping; the neighbors have all had theirs done and my yard looks like "that house."

I stayed inside yesterday but went to Home Depot and Lowe's to look at new lawnmowers. I decided that it's probably better just to fix the self propelled part of my existing 21"/190cc/3 function push mower because the Briggs & Stratton engine purrs like a kitten; the wheels just don't roll.

It was a scorcher yesterday 99 with 70% humidity, really too hot to be outside. Not as bad today but by 3:00 it might be 94 with high humidity.

Good morning, guys.

Yep. It's hot. If not for the money spent on the deck, I would probably be installing a chiller/heater heat pump on the pool. The water was 93 degrees yesterday after being in the low 80's for all of last month. Maybe next year...

Work on the deck has stalled until the heat index drops below a 100. It's just too freaking hot. I only went out yesterday to unload the mower from the trailer and reload some unused lumber to return to Lowe's. I went through five shirts yesterday and about three gallons of water. Crazy hot.

Good morning,

Yeah. I'll be shoveling dirt and swinging an axe at unground roots that the tree service didn't bother doing. I'll also be horrifying my neighbors by going shirtless today. I'm doing my part in the fight against gravity but for parts of me it's a losing battle.

As long as there are no full moons, that might be horrifying.

Good morning, guys.

*Bluuuugh* Shirtless...

Cue CCR... "I see the bad moon arising..."

Anyway, this morning is a beautiful 60 degrees, and I'm going to get my coffee and sit on the deck. I hope you guys are enjoying the morning as well.

Good morning,

It was a great weekend but I woke to rain this morning. So much for digging in the dirt today. I wanted to get some landscaping in before it goes back up into the 90s tomorrow.

It felt nice to take the dogs out to cooler temps, around 60. My wife has the day off for Juneteenth and wants to do something but I feel like I'm drowning in work.
