Good morning, guys. School is closed due to localized flooding. The county next to us got over 18 inches of rain on Saturday. I told my wife to tell her co-workers that she got a little over 10 inches over the weekend. She didn't think that it was funny. I LMAO.

Good morning,

Gosh, did Henri take a wrong turn? It was supposed to hit Mark! ;)

Just kidding, Mark! I hear it was not as bad as expected. Did you have any trouble with flooding or interruptions to electricity though?

Not to minimize what you're going through, TwoCubs. I know that any disruption requires LOTS of work keeping the peace. Does your kiddo like water play? If so, please be safe.

It certainly has been an epic summer. Book of revelations type of epic though. I'd much prefer Summer Vacation type of epic.

Anyway, today is the last day of summer here. Tomorrow is the first day of high school and my little snoozer needs to be on the bus with his mask on at 6:36 around the corner and up the street. I'm not driving him in this year; the wife said it's time to learn to sink or swim.

Well the storm of the year.....well maybe the week, or should I say weak, was not nearly the event the media tried to make it be. Defund the Police? How about defunding the National Weather Service!! The "storm" remnants are still lingering. Lights never blinked and there was minimal damage caused by the rain event.

Good morning. It's the first day of school and my wife went in to work. I'm all alone...

Good morning,

I went on a 41 mile/3 hour bike ride and packed lots of water.

Bonus: Joe had band practice until 5PM. I got myself a sugar free slushie while I waited. It also meant I couldn't cook (aw damn) so KFC for dinner. Finger lickin' good, baby.

Sometimes self care means punishing yourself but then giving yourself a reward afterward - or a few!

Good morning, guys.

That's sounds like a very rewarding day. I feel better just reading about it. I need to plan a hiking day when the heat index drops below 100.

Good morning.

Home Alone part 2. Wife went to work and Joe has marching band practice immediately after school for the third day in a row until 5pm.

It's gonna be a hot one though and I've actually got work to do so no biking. I may go for a couple of brief strolls through the neighborhood though. I may actually cook dinner.

Good morning, guys.

The long awaited IEP is today. I'm only mildly curious as to how it will all go. As for the rest of the day, I'm not too sure. I may not have enough time to get too involved into anything more ambitious than laundry.

Good morning,

Today is Joe’s first football game. He’s had practice every night this week.

Don’t sweat the IEP too much TwoCubs. We used to have “mini” IEPs monthly because of progress/regressions. Nothing is supposed to be set in stone if they do their job right. I would push for transparency in the form of daily sheets to and from school with a monthly observation. If you have services outside of school invite them too for consistency.
