Irie, I watch a lot of car restoration shows and I am always amazed at where they often find mouse hotels set up in cars that sit too long. Inside engine blocks?! Inside air cleaners?! I watched an episode once where an old car was started up for the first time in about 10 years and nuts and shells shot out the exhaust. I thought people used moth balls in idle cars to prevent rodents moving in.

I seriously want those silver traps... Or a garage cat. But can't tell my wife nothing. She a damn know it all. I'm just a bartender/chef.
Had to go with the white disposables. With the liquid bait. I put one right next to a sticky trap that I laid out flat. Damn mouse did a full body roll on the sticky sheet (all grey) and walked away, passing up the "irresistible" bait. Good news is the one hour car drive seemed to stop all mouse activity for now.

Ooh Mark's post reminded me of pulling a mouse hotel out of the dash blower in the Bonneville.

Yikes! It is amazing how they find deep dark places to hide. Looks like I am joining the "Varmint Cong" squad here. While cleaning up my shed I found a little evidence of mouse activity.

A chipmunk had been getting in to our garage. The other day I opened up the garage to the cats for a couple of hours. When I let the cats back in, I did find a chipmunk tail... the rest... nowhere to be seen.

Generator picked out.
Contractor to install picked out. He wants it in a outdoor box prior to coming out. Seen a couple option: -can have somebody make one. -(in my heart I would do it- I got no tools for safety reasons) They are using deck boxes and modifying them. I can do that- nope need tools. -Can buy one. Big $$ Anybody got a genny?

As usual I am confused. He wants a portable generator "in a box outside''? Everyone I know has them stored in a shed or garage until needed. Pull them out and plug them in outside to it's special outlet when the lights go out. Isn't that why they have wheels? I told you earlier we thought about it the last time the lights went out for more than a couple of hours 6 years ago. Storms like that have a way of naturally clearing the trees that are the line problems for a while.

Mark, I wake up confused. It's a nice neighborhood. Lots of weekend vacation homes. Problem is people LEAVE their teenagers here in the summers, give them money. Or like during school break.
They start wandering the neighborhood. We keep both vehicles in the garage. Those kids they been known to go around at night and wander, slashing tires, whatever to impress each other. We did as kids. If it was in the garage, we'd be tripping over it. Nice dog house, deck box, pad lock, concrete pad chained down to it? I wonder if it would fit under the back of xterra. It's high in the back end. Might wanna measure.
