Thanks for the suggestions, I'll try those.

I made this today, which is very good.

Sweet Orange Glow Juice
2 persimmons
 - I didn't have persimmons (have never heard of it until I read this recipe) so substituted it with 1 mango and 1 orange
3 4 carrots
 - I used 4
1 in./2.5 cm piece of ginger root

1 apple

The recipe didn't call for it, but I added the apple

This will be a great summer drink poured over crushed ice. I should be able to get my 6 yo to drink this, although I may substitute the ginger with lemon for him, or put in less ginger.

It is good though.

I did manage to finish what I made yesterday (well what was in my glass), I think there is a bit more in a container in the fridge. It wasn't as bad today as I remembered yesterday, perhaps I had less quantity of it today, so it was easier to get it down. LOL!!!!

Sometimes I would juice whole heads of lettuce if they were about to go bad, add a few apples and strawberries, not so bad.

I was buying the produce at Aldi's (you might remember my thread on Aldis) and had to juice it the same day or it would go bad. My staples were apples, strawberries, cucumbers, carrots and spinach.
I love peace and quiet!
